I am diabetic taking acarbose 50 mg twice daily my sugar level fbs 105 and pps 150. Age 70. Weight 67 kg. No other health problem .can I take syavanprash ayurvedic tonic for one month to improve my body. I was affected by jaundice two months back and recovered fully.

During and after jaundice your digestion will be very weak. Drink plenty of water and keep hydrated. Have plenty of fruits, vegetables. Fruit juices, sugar cane juice are good. Avoid oily, processed, packaged and refined foods. Avoid non veg and alcohol.

You need to consult gastroenterologist in your city. With the history provided small bowel obstruction with anemia can be due to inflammatory strictures like ibd or tb. But jaundice is less likely in these settings unless you are on att or cam. Better have a detailed discussion with your local gastroenterologist who can have a detailed survey.
