Fever in children is a very common phenomenon, but still parents absolutely dread it. It can completely break your heart to suddenly see a happy, healthy child not getting up from the bed. Vitamin C plays an important role in your body and has many health benefits. Along with limes, oranges, grapefruits, leafy greens, and other fruits and vegetables, lemons are a good source of vitamin C. Adding fresh lemon juice to hot tea with honey may help reduce phlegm when you’re sick. Drinking hot or cold lemonade may also help.
While these drinks may not clear up your cold entirely, they can help you get the vitamin C that your immune system needs.

Mix 1 teaspoon of salt and a pinch of baking soda in 2 cups of warm distilled water.
Using a nasal bulb, snort a small amount of this solution into one nostril.
Allow the solution to drain back out through the other nostril or through the mouth.
Gently blow your nose to remove excess mucus and solution.
Follow this same process with the other nostril.
Repeat this remedy a couple of times daily until your condition improves.
