Hi lybrate-user. The correct HIV test depends on when did you get the exposure and if you have any presenting symptoms etc. The test charges range from around 100,200 to 10,000.

PrEP means Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, and it’s the use of anti-HIV medication that keeps HIV negative people from becoming infected. PrEP is approved by the FDA and has been shown to be safe and effective. A single pill taken once daily, it is highly effective against HIV when taken every day.

The most common HIV test is the antibody screening test (immunoassay) and if it is negative than no need to further test untill there is further exposure.

Test should be repeated because The window period of HIV can be from 10 days to 3 months
(The window period is time between potential exposure to HIV infection and the point when the test will give an accurate result. During the window period a person can be infected with HIV and be very infectious but still test HIV negative.)

You had normal protected sex using condom
than why did you go for HIV test? Western blot
method is recommended after 90 days of exposure. Consult telephonic via Lybrate for your issue.

It depends! First she should be HIV positive. Then, both the genitals should have had wet contact. If these two factors are present, then you have some chance of contracting HIV, even with the clothes on. If she has no HIV, then you do not get it. The best way to ensure that you are safe is to get tested for HIV with a 4th generation HIV Elisa test, after at least 6 weeks of exposure.
