Hello, Thanks for the query.
Tablet Glynase MF contains Glibeclamide an earlier sulfonylurea and Glycomet GP contains Glimiperide. Both are different. Can not be just replaced one for another. You have to talk to your doctor about the dosage when change is being made. Thanks.

Those levels are quite high to be controlled just with change of diet. You need to start medicines to prevent/delay complications caused by diabetes.

Both fasting and after food glucose levels are too high, suggesting totally uncontrolled diabetes. Pleas check HbA1c%, that will give a clear idea about how bad is the situation. There is urgent need for starting immediate treatment with appropriate drugs, plus diet control and regular exercise. Ani-thyroid drugs may make blood glucose control a bit more difficult. Both fasting and after food glucose levels mentioned are high. Ideally when well controlled fasting glucose should be < 100 mg & PP should be 150 to 170 mg (with treatment. Usually Glimiperide containing tablets are takne half an hour to 40 minutes before food (breakfast) and / or dinner. Some other compounds like DPP IV Inhibitors and Metformin are taken after food.

Hello, You weren't supposed to take breakfast at all. You were to drink 75 gm glucose immediately after the fasting sample. You may have to repeat the test.

There is no complete cure for conditions like high Blood Pressure, diabates and certain other chronic diseases. Most of these can be effectively controlled. Particularly with adapting a modified lifestyle, avoiding becoming over weight, exercising regularly for over 1 hour a day, taking a healthy diet, refraining from alcohol and smoking and avoiding junk foods.
