You have asked a very good question.

First of all I would like to tell you that no single oil is proven to be good for Diabetes patients. And as such oils need to be used in limited quantities.

The maximum amount of oil per person per month is 500 ml. If one has Cardiac problems then need to reduce oil intake to less than 350 ml per month.

avoid medicines. This is a diet related problem. make a list of food items that are converted to triglycerides by liver . These items can be reduced and items that do not go to liver for manufacture of triglycerides can be increased. In general, less sugar, jaggery and alcohol, more traditional health foods like nuts, yogurt, will solve this problem and improve long term health.
