Hello,
the decision of taking cholesterol medicine is not just based on yiur total cholesterol value. It depends on your overall risk profile which includes age, gender, race, bp, blood sugar, total cholesterol, ldl and hdl value. You can calculate your risk profile from online ascvd plus app by entering above values and the app will suggest you if cholesterol medicine is necessary or not. In case of any doubt consult online directly.
Take care. Stay safe. Have a good day.

Dear Lybrate user,
you should send your latest reports and give a detailed history, before any recommendations.
As of now you can start by lifestyle modification (brisk walking for 90 mins, exercise, reduce fried fatty meal, quit addiction if any) and take omega3 fatty acid rich foods.

Your cholesterol are still high. Cholesterol medications control take 3 months to show their complete effect. If you have just started cholesterol medications, you should repeat lipid profile after 3 months. But in case you were already on cholesterol medication for 3 months, you might need to increase the dose.

No. Roseday a is a combination of two medicines-rosuvastatin and aspirin. If you have been prescribed only roseday, you must stick to it. Avoid aspirin if you have not been prescribed that medication.
