Hi lybrate-user - calcaneal spur is related to plantar fascitis and thats why you r having heel pain as the sole of your foot is getting inflammated. At home - you can do 2 things: 1) stretch your ankle and calf 3-4 times a day and each time 10-12 repititions for 10 seconds hold each time. 2) you need to do contrast bath - put your feet in hot water with salt for 10 mins then ice cold water for 5 mins then hot water with salt fot 10 mins right after you wake up. This will give you much relief.more

For some people, the simple act of walking can be very uncomfortable. This is because they may be suffering from a heel spur. Heel spurs are calcium deposits that cause a bony protrusion on the underside of the heel bone. Ankle pain. Our suggestion would be to do hot water fermentation along with Cold (ice) therapy. You shall also keep a pillow under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes.

Get treated with ultrasonic therapy which would directly heal the calcaneal spur (inflammation of the calcaneum bone) which causes the heel pain in majority of the cases. Along with ultrasonic therapy, shortwave diathermy also can be given. Simultaneously it is better to wear mcr chappals (micro cellular rubber) which will help to transfer the weight evenly in the feet so that the weight will be completely felt in the heel area. What is plantar fasciitis?
