There is no cure for stuttering. Early treatment can prevent stuttering from continuing into adulthood. Different techniques are used to teach your child skills that can help him or her speak without stuttering. For example, the slp may teach your child to slow down speech and learn to breathe while speaking.

I need to know any history of infection, perforation, wet ear etc and level of hearing loss. Your chance of degeneration is less because you are young. Once damaged, your auditory nerve and cilia cannot be repaired. But, depending on the severity of the damage, sensorineural hearing loss has been successfully treated with hearing aids or cochlear implants. There is, however, the possibility that your hearing loss isn't reversible.

The most common causes are: age, noise exposure, heredity (genes) and medication, which all mostly lead to a sensorineural hearing loss. You can also have a bilateral hearing loss if both of your ears' ability to conduct sound into the inner ear are blocked or reduced.

A fluency disorder causes problems with the flow, rhythm, and speed of speech. If you stutter, your speech may sound interrupted or blocked, as though you are trying to say a sound but it doesn't come out. You may repeat part or all of a word as you to say it. You may drag out syllables.
