I need to know any history of infection, perforation, wet ear etc and level of hearing loss. Your chance of degeneration is less because you are young. Pl see that specialists may guide you hearing aid if loss is marked. Till then some other indian wisdom methods may be helpful too prevent further loss or may even reverse if loss is very less. If the baby is born with hearing loss it is called congenital. If the hearing loss occurs after the baby is born it is called acquired. O another way depends on whether or not the hearing loss gets worse over time. Hearing loss that gets worse over time is called progressive.
