Hi, From last 7 days ago I feel congestion in my ear. First I thought it is due to air and did not care. It feel like there are some water remain in ear after bath. After 3-4 days it also not ok with me. I am feeling same. And observed less hearing activity in one ear. I consulted a doctor he told me it may due to cold and give candibiotic ear drop and doxycycline tablet. I used the medicine 2 days but found no change. What will I do. I never insert except earbud in my ear. Is it a very serious problem or not. Kindly share useful words for my cure. Thanks a lot.

I must ask wether the hearing aid is a digital or semidigital hearing aid, sometimes the hearing aid requires calibration which can be done from the place you bought it. So get it checked and then use it. Better use a digital version of hearing aid.

My husband got diagnosed with Tinnitus around 2 months back. He joined swimming few weeks before the constant buzz in his ears. The doctors indicated the water entering inside the ears thru swimming as one of the possible causes. He is on medication since then and has been feeling little better but he has been avoiding swimming ever since. He joined that for overall health and he preferred swimming over gym. But now he doesn't at all go to swim even by using earplugs. Can you please suggest if this was the reason behind his tinnitus and if he really should avoid swimming? I want him to continue swimming n want his tinnitus also to be cured. But please advise what's good for him.

There are different reasons and different types of tinnitus
Usually tinnitus means ringing sound in ear . That happens due to nerve weakness.
Other reasons are buzzing sound or insect fluttering sound are due to wax, or infection in ear or due to cold
So if swimming caused the tinnitus it is likely due to infection. Hence once infection settles it is possible to swim provided ear drum is normal
So consult your doctor and find out

Hello doctor, approximately one and half month back my mother had seizures for which she was admitted in emergency. Mri brain contrast was done and it showed one lesion of 4 mm and low grade glioma. She is on epilive 500 mg two times. Now we had to follow up so again mri was done which showed now three lesions in some cms and it says high grade glioma. I wanted to know is it possible to low grade glioma to turn into high grade glioma in a span of one and a half months. If not, should I get mri done again. Please help. Thank you.

My 3 year old daughter had two episode of febrile seizure in past and doc has suggested us to give mefenac ds and 1/2 of frisium 5 mg twice a day to be continued for 3 days whenever she gets fever above 99. Also my concern here is after giving frisium my daughter becomes irritated, drowsy. Want to know how does this irritation and drowsiness last?

Good afternoon, first of all, seizure activity itself would cause great harm to the brain, hence the precipitating factor (here fever) needs to be controlled. N secondly, after frisium, the child may feel drowsy, it's a common side effect, she would get fine within 1-2 days.

My wife have epilepsy since childhood, last epilepsy episode arrived 2006, then after taking regular medicine and till the time not episode seen, right now two tablets (carbamazepine 200 mg and lamotrigine dt 25 mg taken at night and one tablet naprosyn d is sos for headache.
