I am a 26 year old woman. I have head lice and I have tried permethrin cream rinse but it did not work. Can I take ivermectin tablet to get rid of head lice? Hi, I have a question about pubic lice. I was diagnosed by a dermatologist with crabs on wed august 14. I took 2 rounds of prescription permethrin cream, which I used on wed. August 14 and again on wednesday august 21. I have fortunately not had any crabs since then. However, during my first round of treatment, I used a blanket/comforter and threw it in the hamper after. I did not wash it until friday september 13. I washed it on high (above 130 degrees fahrenheit) and dried it on high heat. It did not fully dry, so I let it air dry. I just want to make sure that no pubic lice could have lived for almost a month in my blanket, and if they did, I assume the hot wash would have killed them, right? Thank you for your help.

Yes, you are free of the pubic lice, it lives on the skin, not on the blanket or clothes, you could check on your own if you see any lice, apply vaseline on it and pull it out and kill it by drowning in bit of water and flush it out, if on checking you have no rash or lice, it means they all were killed with the medicine prescribed by the doctor.

I have issues with lice eggs. I do not have lice but I have lice issues. I am cleaning my hair with tresseme silk and shine and I am very obsessed with my hygiene. There is no issues with hygiene. For your better understanding I am also doing gymming and my diet is well maintained. I was having this issue from last 6-8 months. I have not done anything special to remove this problem. perlice should be applied before headbath for 30min to 1 hr and wash. weekly once for 2-3 weeks. all the family members should apply on same day. even if u do all this there will be new infestation from classmates
