Generally, one has to take the medicines, maybe the dosage and the types of medicine can be changed based on the reports and the individuals health status. In rare cases the medicines can be stopped by the doctor but it still needs regular monitoring of the sugar levels. For people without diabetes, the normal range for the hemoglobin A1c level is between 4% and 5.6%. Hemoglobin A1c levels between 5.7% and 6.4% mean you have a higher chance of getting diabetes. Levels of 6.5% or higher mean you have diabetes.
So you should take care. Its on higher side.

He needs to do lifestyle changes to control it naturally as it's a bit higher. Follow this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up).
