The most accurate way to measure how much vitamin D is in your body is the 25-hydroxy vitamin D blood test. A level of 20 nanograms/milliliter to 50 ng/mL is considered adequate for healthy people. A level less than 12 ng/mL indicates vitamin D deficiency.
Based on this information you are deficient in vitamin D and need to take supplements. Your sugar level is good and normal.

Yes, a person is diagnosed diabetic if two tests are abnormal. Treatment should be initiated along with diabetic diet and exercise.
Regular follow up will be needed.
Thankyou.

There's no test to definitively diagnose pcos so far, we need to discuss your medical history, including your menstrual periods and weight changes. A physical exam will include checking for signs of excess hair growth, insulin resistance and acne.
Post studying your case i'll be able to come to the conclusion whether to go for pelvic examination, blood tests and ultrasounds.

HbA1c is borderline prediabetes. Patients with gestational diabetes has increased chance of developing diabetes in future. Your weight is 64 and height is 5 ft. It suggests you are overweight. At present it is advisable to loose weight with diet and exercise. Please consult any dietitian for weight loss meal plan.

You need to worry about both. If your fasting blood sugar level is below 110 then you need not worry. And with tryglycerides if it below 180 then it's a normal condition. You need to take medicines to normalise your cholesterol levels.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
HbA1c% of > 6.5 % is cosidered as diagnostic for diabetes. So whether it is 6.85 or 6.6 % it shows presence of diabetes. Which means there is a need for proper treatment with drugs, exercise and diet control.
Treatment of diabetes is invariably for lifetime. Thanks.

Your fasting blood sugar is good but post meal sugar is low. If that was achieved just by taking metformin, there is no need for additional drug. Actually you have to reduce the dosage to half in the morning. Your weight is of obese type. That is the main culprit for your high sugar too. Try physical exercises and sincere diet, so that you can manage diabetes without drugs.

Hello lybrate-user. HbA1C is the test which is helpful for knowing that you are diabetic or not. This is the average of 3 months plasma glucose concentration. Your value is within normal range. So not to be worried. If you have a family history of Diabeties then be cautious. Thank you.
