There is certainly a way to avoid it, that is maintenance of oral hygiene. Brush twice daily, keep your teeth clean and visit your dentist at least every six months. In case the situation has already progressed, there are certain methods to treat the same. Most common way being periodontal surgery. Cost of it varies depending on the location and expertise of doctor.

Medicines are temporary relief .you need to go to a dentist for exact diagnosis and treatment. You can give him ketorol dt single tablet in case of pain and emergency .but you can't rely on medicines and they can't be taken time and again due to several reasons. So you need to go to a dentist and treatment done.

It is not possible to cure cavities. Bt yes you can take precautions of your oral health to do not let it grow. Using flouride containing toothpaste, use mouthwash, rinse mouth after every meal. Brush nd mouthwash twice daily. And if cavity is slight deep get it filled so food don't get lodged in the cavity.
