Increasing rates of gonococcal (gc) infection and antimicrobial resistant (amr) gc, are a serious public health concern
according to the latest euro-gasp results, 86% of patients with available information on their treatment course received ceftriaxone (with or without) azithromycin. The use of two antimicrobials for gonorrhoea therapy, which was introduced in 2012, has likely contributed to increased susceptibility to ceftriaxone.

Yes urine culture test negative means there is no pyogenic infection.
But gonorrohea ,chlamydia and torch test are required to test.

Hello.
According to cdc guideline, regimen for treatment of gonorrhoea is as follow: cdc recommends dual therapy, or using two drugs, to treat gonorrhea a single dose of 250 mg of intramuscular ceftriaxone and 1g of oral azithromycin.

most of the time, urine can be used to test for gonorrhea. However, if you have had oral and/or anal sex, swabs may be used to collect samples from your throat and/or rectum. In some cases, a swab may be used to collect a sample from a man's urethra (urine canal) or a woman's cervix (opening to the womb).
