Asked for male, 49 years old from Guwahati

In July, I was diagnosed gonerreah due to a unprotected sex at a party. I was given antibiotics for 10 days and I was cured, I had also done vdrl test n it was non reactive. A friend told me that there is a window period of 3 months n I may get aids after that period. Shall I get test vdrl again after 3 months and do I need more tests. please help .what has happened was unknown since I was drunk that night.

Hi, I was wondering, can gonorrhea or chlamydia just arise out of no where. Or does it have to be contacted through sex? Like 2 healthy people that continue to have sex with each other, being faithful and not sleeping with other people, STDs just do not arise from it right?

Gonorrhea or chlamydia is sexually transmitted disease..it occurs only via sex..no other means..
If one of the partner is infected it transmits to another partner through sex..
but if both are healthy ,faithful..stds wont arise in both of them

Men who thought they might have a bacterial STD like chlamydia or gonorrhea can be tested by having a swab inserted into their urethra. The sample taken thn is tested under microscope for the infection.
