I am 38 years age female. In my both ears, once in a while blocking one ear at one time another ear some other day. Also metallic sound and slowly fades off in 1 minute. What to do sir. My dentist told me to visit ent doctor. I took audiometry test said no problem. But I heard if its ignored without taking precaution now might lose hearing capacity. I am worried pls advice clearly kindly sir.

Hello I am finding my ear is blocked. Even yawning and chewing anything its not opening. Only left side ear is having such problem. What to do. Even I was taking medicine for stomach ulcer/ inflammation which is caused due to medicine of cavity which I had in oct. After that in november I was feeling that something is sticking in my throat and food pipe. Even burps where coming. Took 10 days medication started on 26 nov 2020 pantocid dsr once a day liveril forte for twice a day. My course is completed now but now since yesterday I am having tht ear blocking problem. My Dr. recommended- cof-vvn twice a day for 3 days c-fode 200 mg twice a day for 03 days. Please tell this medicine is okay to take? Or you can tel something else. Urgent reply.

Dear lybrate-user, most likely you hve wax in your ear so put soliwax ear drops 2 drops every 3 hourly for 4 days after which consult a good ent specialist so that your wax may be removed from your ear. Yours sincerely.

Hi I got tooth crown on my one tooth 3 months ago but now crown looks blue in colour. Is there any problem with my crown or tooth. What should I do? If I won't replace it, will it cause damage to my tooth?

It is difficult for us to tell what it is, that blue color might be metal showing through your crown. I would suggest you to visit your dentist and confirm. If it is metal it doesn't harm.

Is there a chance that shampoos containing keratolytic and exfoliants such as salicylic acid, or ketoconazole or zinc pyrithrone or coal tar can cause damage or exfoliation of keratin or any other material near by tympanic membrane and cause a little amount of bleed, is it a problem if there is a little bleed on my earbud following bath and using an earbud to clean the water but I have no symptoms of ear ache, ear discharge or any other symptoms related to ear pathology, is this a matter for concern and should be brought to the notice of ent specialist or any other doctor as such!

It is unlikely that the said materials will cause any ear bleed. On the contrary using ear buds can. Please stop using ear buds!
