Glaucoma can be controlled by medicines. As long as visual function and eye pressure remains stable with medicines, and if you are regular in taking medicines and follow ups, surgery is not needed.

Glaucoma is diagnosed on the basis of Intra Ocular Pressure (IOP). This can be easily checked at the ophthalmologist's clinic. When one consults an eye specialist, checking the IOP is one of the first thing that is done there. So visit the eye clinic. Thanks.
