First it is very important for a psychologist to build a rapport with him, psychologist should talk to him over the phone and the friendly behaviour of psychologist would help him to share his thoughts.
And don't tell him that you are taking him to psychologist just tell him you are going for activity class.
I know it is hard for you but you have to manipulate him it's essential for his treatment. As counselling session and therapy would take him away from the ocd.
