It's nothing serious. Most probably you have chronic rhinosinusitis and it gets increased or relapsed with intake of refined sugar. It's best to avoid these because refined sugar is not any good for health. In case you take it because you do not have any alternative at that time. You can take drugs to suppress your symptoms. It will be better if you avoid completely. But even if you loose your discipline you should eat a very minimal amount, that too once or twice a month.
For strength you can do some physical exercise and eat nutrient rich foods like chicken and eggs or paneer, tofu etc if you are veg. You should also take few pieces of dry fruits daily for energy.
