you have allergic rhinitis may be due to viral infection take a tab of cetrezine as and when required. do warm saline gargle twice daily. have homemade freshly prepared lemon juice which is rich in vitamin C thereby increasing your body autoimmune system which prevents infection. it will be alright.

Your information is very scanty. There is only mention about having diabetes, but no details about blood glucose levels & HbA1c%.Plus no other info on BP, lipid profile etc, so it is difficult to give any opinion why there is choking sensation. Please get a detailed blood check up, plus ECG and then come back. Thanks.

1. Do warm saline gurgling 2-3 times daily
2. Take throat lozenges,
3. Drink warm/cold fluid to ease pain
4. Have smooth/semi solid food,
5. Take adequate rest 6. Take a full course of antibiotic for 10 days after consulting ent specialist (to avoid recurrence),
7. Take analgesic like paracetamol/ibuprufen for throat pain
8. If recurrent symptoms causing upper air way obstruction/difficulty in swallowing, surgery- is indicated
