Know More About Gallbladder Stones!

The gallbladder is the organ in your body that stores and releases bile.

Bile aids in the digestive process. Although a small organ, problems with your gallbladder can be painful. While there are no specific foods that will keep your gallbladder healthy and functioning, a healthy lifestyle and a diet rich in fruits and vegetables is recommended for gallbladder health.

If you are concerned about your gallbladder,

enrich your diet with fruits and vegetables…

Eating a primarily plant-based diet will help feed your body the vitamins and nutrients it craves. Consuming more fruits and vegetables will also help you to cut out other junk food you normally eat.

There are several recipes that can help relieve the pain caused by gallbladder stones.

In fact, studies indicate that drinking liquids is more beneficial than eating, during a gallbladder stone attack.

Gallbladder stones are quite a serious problem, which should not be treated lightly or ignored. It is advisable to have a doctor monitor all instances of gallbladder stones. It is also best to consult a doctor before switching over to a gallbladder stone diet or any other diet for that matter.

Any kind of pain, fever and discomfort should be given immediate medical attention.

Certain foods to be avoided, in case of gall bladder disease are fried foods, pork, eggs, fowl, corn, beans, oranges and nuts. Green leafy vegetables, such as collard, kale and mustard seem to be disadvantageous to certain individuals.

To maintain gallbladder health, adhere to the rules of heart health. Avoid eating foods that are high in cholesterol, saturated or trans fats. This means stay away from junk food and animal products such as red meat.

The most common gallstone that can develop is one made up of cholesterol.

If you limit the amount of cholesterol in your body, you will also reduce your risk for gallstones.

Homeopathy For Complete Removal Of Gallbladder Stones!

Gallbladder stones are mainly characterized by the hardening of the digestive fluids that gets deposited in the gallbladder. The gallbladder stones formed may comprise of undissolved cholesterol with a yellowish appearance (Cholesterol Gallstones). The hardened digestive fluid (bile) may also contain an elevated amount of bilirubin with the stones appearing black or dark brown (Pigment Gallstones).

As is the case with most other types of stone formations (such as kidney stones), people with gallbladder stones often experience excruciating abdominal pain, restricting their movement. Some people also experience pain between the shoulder blades. Fever, nausea, and vomiting are also common in patients suffering from the condition.

Homeopathy for the removal of gallbladder stones effectively-
Homeopathy comes as a breath of fresh air for many people whose lives have been jeopardized by the gallbladder stones. Homeopathic treatment has a very positive approach to treating gallbladder stones. It evaluates all the possible factors (physical or mental condition) that can result in the stone formation. With a proper diagnosis and identification of the trigger, the treatment then uses natural medicines to treat not only the gallbladder stones but also the symptoms that come tagged along. As compared to the conventional approach (including surgeries), Homeopathic treatments are safe and noninvasive. Though time-consuming, homeopathic treatment goes the extra mile to provide permanent relief from the gallbladder stones.

Some of the Homeopathic medicines that provide noteworthy results in the case of gallbladder stones include

  1. Calcarea Carb works to deal with gallbladder stones in obese people with elan. Some of the associated symptoms taken care of by Calcarea Carb include extreme sensitivity to cold, sour vomiting, or increased sweating (especially of the head region) triggered by the gallbladder stones.
  2. Lycopodium is beneficial for people who complain of gallbladder stone induced gastric problems such as acid reflux, a feeling of fullness even after eating a small quantity of food, and increased gas formation.
  3. Chelidonium works wonders to alleviate the gallbladder stones associated with abdominal pain. There is also a pain in the shoulder blade (right side).

While the homeopathic medicines are helpful, the patient also needs to bring about positive changes in their lifestyle and dietary habits. These changes, recommended by most Homeopaths, acts as a catalyst elevating the overall effectiveness of the Homeopathic treatment in treating the gallbladder stones.

  1. Obesity is one of the underlying triggers for the formation of gallbladder stones. Thus, maintaining the body weight and getting rid of the extra fats are essential. Exercise and physical activities can produce fruitful results. However, refrain from strenuous exercise or strict dieting.
  2. Choose your diet wisely. While increased intake of cholesterol can worsen the condition of gallbladder stones. Limited consumption of Good Cholesterol or HDL (High-Density Lipoproteins) is indeed healthy for the body. Whole grains, olive oil, legumes, flax seeds, fibrous fruits, fish (such as Salmon, Mackerel, Tuna, Sardines), nuts, flax seeds, play an instrumental role in elevating the levels of HDL in the body. Opt for anti-inflammatory and high fiber foods such as fruit, legumes, nuts, seeds.

Gallbladder and Gallstones Diet

What do you need to know about your diet if you have gallstones or a gall bladder removed?

When you have a problem with your gallbladder, like gallstones, the doctor may recommend a gallbladder surgery for gallbladder removal. Your gallbladder is an organ that you can live without, but some people need to avoid certain foods after gallbladder removal.

What is the function of a Gallbladder?

The gallbladder is a small organ that sits under your liver. It stores, concentrates and helps secrete bile that helps digest fatty foods.

Bile is made in the liver and stored in the gallbladder until ready to be used to help in the process of digestion. When we eat, this signals the gallbladder that bile is needed. The gallbladder contracts and pushes the bile down into a duct that carries it to the small intestine, where it breaks down any fats eaten. If the bile becomes too concentrated or ‘supersaturated’, substances in the bile can harden and form small stones that look like gravel. They can range in size from a tiny seed to as large as a golf ball.

Generally, they are made up of cholesterol (a type of blood fat) but can include calcium and/or bile pigments. Gallstones take years to form. If you need to have surgery to remove your gallbladder, your liver still makes enough bile for normal digestion. Despite of the fact stated above, it is not unusual for people to have difficulties in food digestion post gallbladder surgery. The common problems experienced are bloating, diarrhea and gastric problems after eating fatty foods. You need to avoid FAT, Spices and GAS Producing Foods in large quantities:

  1. Cheese
  2. Ghee and Oil
  3. High FAT meats
  4. High FAT dairy products
  5. Fried Foods
  6. Cabbage
  7. Cauliflower
  8. Seeds and Nuts
  9. Whole grain products
  10. Sprouts

Suggested Intake:

  1. A low fat diet includes a wide range of foods such as vegetables, potato and legumes such as lentils and kidney beans, all varieties of bread, pasta and rice with oil free sauces, grilled or steamed fish or skinless chicken, grilled lean meat and low fat milk or soy drinks.
  2. Drink plenty of water (eight to ten glasses a day). Consult a nutritionist for a proper diet plan to start with after surgery and then gradually increase the intake. Stay Healthy!

Gallbladder Stone

Gallbladder Stone Treatment Through Surgery!

The gallbladder is the small organ that is located on your liver’s underside, and functions primarily to store bile that aids the body in breaking down fats. The extra bile produced by the liver is then stored in the gallbladder, so that it is later released into the system when you consume fats that need to be broken down. However, one must remember that normal digestion is possible without a gallbladder, but the bile keeps flowing into the small intestine, but isn’t stored along its way in your gallbladder.

Often, gallstones are the primary reason that happens to prompt an individual to undergo a surgery. Another reason why you might have to rid yourself of the gallbladder itself is owing to the fact that the case of gallstones might be an acute one, or due to the incidence of other complications usually associated with your gallbladder. In most cases, however, the following procedures are employed to provide the patient relief:

Open Cholecystecomy
This surgery is generally performed with the use of an anaesthetic, by rendering the patient unconscious. Once the anaesthesia is employed, an antiseptic solution is used to clean the abdomen so that the risk of infection is drastically reduced. Incisions are made in the upper portion (on the right) of the abdomen, while the liver is carefully lifted out of the way in order to facilitate easy removal of the gallbladder. The next step deals with closing and suturing the incision. The recovery period for this procedure is longer than most other options, and is accompanied by a lot of postoperative pain.

Laprascopic Cholecystecomy
In this method, the surgery is carried out with the help of general anaesthesia, and instead of creating one large incision, four tiny cuts are made into the abdomen. One incision is purposely made under the navel wherein a laparoscope is inserted. Instruments are then inserted through other incisions, and the gallbladder is then cut free and drawn out through one of these incisions. Once the procedure ends, the incisions are stapled or sutured.
