Fungal Infection Questions

I have been getting treated for fungal infection, which I got from my ex-partner, its been more than a year now it has not been cured with the treatment, started with alcros+lulifin+fungicros then it is always increasing and decreasing the time it is applied or taken, also used dermitraz. But the result is not there, doctor says it goes, I do not know should I believe him or not. I would request any honest doctor just tell me, is it curable from its root, or I have to stay with it lifelong, I am really very frustrated and upset. I want to move on in my life, but I do not want this to spread somebody else. Please help with honest answer. Thank you in advance.

Hi. No need to worry because this fungal infection is absolutely curable. U have to take regular oral medication for 1 month and topical for 1 to 2 months. Now a days patients are developing resistance to itraconazole (alcros, dermitraz)so if you are not getting any better with this and the condition stil persists then a full course of tab griseofulvin can be tried. But its not that once you are treated you will not suffer from this condition again in your lifetime, but of course there will not be any recurrence maintain hygiene, keep the area clean and dry. Thanks.

Apply in the morning after bath and at night before sleeping. Atleast 4-6 hours it should be there. You can rub it onto the fungal area and also apply little bit in the normal skin surrounding it.

Hi. Please do not self diagnose and start unnecessary drugs. Ofloxacin ornidazole clobetasol are not helpful for fungal infection rather it wil be harmful. Thanks.

You can try this wash the affected skin two to three times a day. Keep the affected area dry. Avoid excess affected skin irritation by wearing 100% cotton underwear. Avoid fabric softeners, bleaches, or harsh laundry detergents. Wash your workout clothes, underwear, socks, and towels after each use. Keep your affected area, inner thighs, and buttocks clean and dry, especially after you exercise and shower. After showering or bathing, dry the irritated affected area by gently patting it with a towel. Be sure to dry your skin thoroughly. Mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in two cups of warm water. Wash the infected area with this solution and allow it to dry on its own. Another option is to apply a mixture of equal parts of white vinegar and coconut oil on the affected skin. Like hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol can help kill off the fungus that's on the surface level of the skin. You can apply it directly to the affected area listerine: it has antiseptic, antifungal and antibacterial properties, which help treat skin problem here are some tips to help you manage the infection: avoid using oily skin products. Reduce your exposure to the sun. Exposure to the sun may trigger or worsen an episode, and a tan makes the rash more visible. Do not wear tight clothing. Wear breathable fabrics, such as cotton, to decrease sweating.

You may be suffering from tinea cruris which is fungal infection of the inner thighs, groin and buttocks area. It is also called jock itch. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over the counter steroid containing creams like fourderm, panderm, quadriderm, dermi5, cloben g betnovate, dermikem oc, candid b etc lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application. Do not use steroid containing combination creams. Please contact me using online consult option with photos for detailed prescription. Do not delay treatment as it may spread further on your body and also to other people living in the household.

Panderm cream contains steroids which suppress symptoms and do not cure the disease. Antifungal tablets and creams in correct dosage can be prescribed after a consult with a certified dermatologist. Do not use panderm cream.

Had fungal infection 6-7 places on leg. I took around 40 days itraconazole capsules 200 mg per day. Every topical I used (sertaconazole, miconazole, terbinafine, clotrimazole, luliconazole, amblorfine) but when I was using after I got blisters (small white fludac pimple) on fungal infections then I used candid b cream (betamethasone + clotrimazole) when I used this combination, my infection was cleared up no blisters nothing on legs. Now I stopped after only for 2 days now I can see small blisters on that affected area. So I am requesting to dermatologist please tell me should I take itraconazole more for how many days and which topic I used. Earlier I used every topic but blister occurs after using now tell me, in oder to finish this problem what course should I continue.

Hi, i'm suffering from fungal infection on the hands from past many years. I had consulted one of the skin specialist near me and he had suggested me to apply "emoderm cream" whenever I feel itching and that cream was very helpful and my fungal had almost vanished. Now the cream is not available in the market. Request you all to suggest an alternative to it.
