You may feel bumps and lumps under the skin. This is normal and is due to the dissolvable sutures under the surface. They will go away with time. Occasionally a red bump or pustule forms along the suture line when a buried stitch works its way to the surface. This is only temporary, and applying a warm compress to the spot usually helps it resolve. If it does not resolve, or you have questions, please consult with me.

Dear lybrate-user
please mention why the surgery was done. Was is a replacement surgery? Depending upon why the surgery was done and what surgery wa done, one may be able to guide you. Normally if its a hip replacement surgery, full recovery may take about a year. However, severuty of pain should gradually decrease over time.
Take care.

Pain killers can precipitate asthma attacks in known cases of asthma. If the medicine has not suited the patient, refrain from using in future. Get a x-ray hip joint, ap & oblique, to exactly diagnose the cause of pain.

Thanks for your query.
It is unfortunate that doctor has to give injection forcefully.
I think blood would have collected there.
Are you able to walk?
Please show your buttock to a general surgeon at the earliest.
