Hair Fall - Know The Most Common Causes!

Witnessing broken strands of hair on the towel or on the comb after having a bath is certainly not a pleasant sight. Every other person these days is exposed to hair fall problems, irrespective of age and gender. Studies reveal that 40% of women and 40% of men experience hair fall by the ages of 50 years and 35 years respectively.

Causes-
Some of the common causes of hair fall include-

  • Genetic/family history
  • Hormonal changes during PCOS, menopause or pregnancy
  • Nutritional deficiency
  • Stress/depression
  • Critical illness treatment like chemotherapy
  • Underlying conditions such as thyroid or lupus
  • Certain medications like antidepressants
  • Poor lifestyle choice

Apart from these, other factors may also cause hair fall.

Many people fall for hair styling techniques including blow drying, straightening and smoothening. They certainly make you look good, but frequent use of such hair care techniques and chemical products damage your hair follicles. This eventually leads to hair fall.

How is the condition diagnosed?
Persistent loss of hair usually indicates a repressed health issue. In that case, it is important to determine the actual cause of the condition. For that, your doctor may use any of the following techniques-

  1. Physical examination of your overall health
  2. Biopsy of the scalp (if he suspects an autoimmune skin disease)

Treating hair fall with Homeopathy-
Millions of people including doctors claim that Homeopathy is an effective treatment method of curing both chronic and acute health conditions.

  1. Unlike conventional methods that only focus on treating the symptoms of a condition, Homeopathy works to identify the root cause of the condition and eliminates it from within, thereby preventing its recurrence.
  2. Homeopathy attempts to improve your metabolism and correct your digestive system, thereby promoting healthy hormones. Healthy hormones play a vital role in reducing hair fall problem.
  3. Homeopathic remedies are extracted from different plants, herbs and natural substances. Medications or supplements prepared from the extracts of shellfish and oyster are rich in zinc, which helps in hair keratin synthesis. Fish oil and Flaxseed oil rich in omega-3 nourish your hair follicles and prevent hair fall and breakage.

The benefits of homeopathic treatment are manifold- it is effective, long lasting and safe, which is why one should consider placing their faith in Homeopathy.

Shortfalls Of Hair Transplant - How Homeopathy Can Be The Best Line Of Treatment?

Hair transplant refers to the surgical procedure of removing hair follicles from one part of the body (known as the donor site) to a balding part or the recipient site. It is an artificial method of hair restoration for those who experience excessive hair fall or permanent hair loss problems. In medical terms, this condition is known as Alopecia.

Causes-
The following factors are responsible for alopecia-

  1. Genetics
  2. Hormonal imbalance
  3. Poor diet
  4. Stress and anxiety/depression
  5. An underlying medical condition/illness

Although hair problems are a major concern for both males and females, nearly 40% of women encounter visible hair loss by age 40. A majority of these people undergo hair transplantation. Hair transplantation is done in two procedures- micro grafts (each graft containing 1-2 hairs) and slit grafts (containing 4-10 hairs per graft).

Shortfalls of hair transplant-
Although a hair transplant boosts your confidence and improves the overall appearance, not everyone is eligible for the surgery. Hair transplant is not a preferred choice of treatment for the following-

  • Anyone facing hair loss problems due to chemotherapy
  • People who have thick, fibrous scars
  • Women having a widespread hair loss pattern throughout the scalp
  • Those who do not have enough donor sites for transplantation

Besides, hair transplant involves quite a few risks and side effects including the following-

Incurability of the condition in conventional sciences-
While shedding a few strands of hair is considered normal, losing large volume of hair more often than not can lead to permanent hair loss. Under this circumstance, Alopecia or baldness cannot be cured with conventional scientific techniques alone.

Although medical treatment and drugs are given to patients, they may trigger allergic reactions.

Prevention-
Since baldness or alopecia usually result from genetic or lifestyle choices, the only way to prevent hair fall/loss is to treat the underlying causes-

  • Practice good hygiene
  • Eat healthy to improve metabolism
  • Reduce stress/anxiety/depression
  • Regular checkups to detect an underlying medical condition
  • Regulate healthy hormones

Benefits of Homeopathy-
Homeopathy remedies and medicines rectify the underlying causes of hair problems. The main objective of the treatment is to identify the problem and eliminate it from the roots.

  1. Homeopathic remedies are extracted from different plants, herbs and natural substances that are completely safe.
  2. This branch of medicine attempts to improve your metabolism and correct your digestive system, thereby promoting healthy hormones. Homeopathy medications or supplements prepared from the extracts of shellfish and oyster are rich in zinc.
  3. Flaxseed oil and fish oil used in homeopathy treatment are excellent sources of Omega-3 fatty acids that not only prevent hair fall, but also nourish your hair follicles, thereby promoting lush, healthy hair.

Therefore, the next time you face hair problems, instead of going for hair transplantation, opt for homeopathic intervention. In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

Homeopathic Approach To Hairfall, Dandruff And Split Ends!

Every other person today is exposed to various hair problems irrespective of their age or gender. Several factors including one’s diet, overall health and lifestyle, are responsible for causing hair problems. On top of that, pollution plays a major role in damaging your hair too!

Although hair problems are a major concern for both males and females, nearly 40% of women encounter visible hair loss by age 40. The most common conditions affecting your scalp and hair include hair fall, dandruff and split ends--

Hair fall- Most people are familiar with hair fall- you are used to witnessing broken strands of hair on the towel after having a bath, or on the comb. This condition is prevalent in those who have had a genetic or family history of hair fall. Hormonal changes, traumatic events (chronic illness or surgery), any underlying medical condition such as thyroid or lupus, and certain treatment procedures like chemotherapy can lead to hair fall in due course of time. While shedding a few strands of hair is considered normal, losing large volumes of hair more often than not can lead to permanent hair loss.

Dandruff- Dandruff is undoubtedly the most unsightly among all other conditions. It is even more embarrassing for people having dark hair. These appear as white powdered grains that cling to the roots of the hair. Dandruff often results from poor diet, poor metabolism, or dry scalp. This condition is more common in winters.

Split ends- Split ends are witnessed when the edges of your hair become brittle, dry and frayed. Exposure to extreme weather conditions can leave your hair damaged. Many people fall for hair styling techniques including blow drying, straightening and smoothening. They certainly make you look good, but frequent use of such hair styling techniques and the related chemical products damage your hair follicles. Almost everyone encounters split ends at some point in life. The only way to get rid of split ends is to trim your hair every 3-4 months.

People need to understand that applying any kind of oil or shampoo on one’s hair would only be external applications and will not lead to nourishment internally, no matter how much they boast of doing so through their advertisements. This is where Homeopathy comes to the rescue, which would help them in internal medication.

Role of homeopathy in curing hair problems-
Homeopathy can proficiently manage the symptoms of various hair problems including hair fall, dandruff and split ends. Homeopathic remedies are extracted from different plants, herbs and natural substances that are absolutely safe for you. This branch of medicine attempts to improve your metabolism and heal your digestive disorders, thereby promoting healthy hormones. Homeopathy medications or supplements prepared from the extracts of shellfish and oyster are rich in zinc. Consuming 30g of zinc can help in the synthesis of hair keratin. Flaxseed oil and fish oil used in homeopathy treatment are excellent sources of Omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids not only prevent hair fall and breakage but also nourish your hair follicles, thereby promoting lush, healthy hair. Make sure you intake 2 capsules of these homeopathy supplements. Let's read how homeopathy works--

  1. Root Cause: No matter whether it is hairfall, dandruff or split ends, initially a patient needs to talk about the history of how all of these problems had started. The reasons could be:
    • Physical in nature, like some fever in an intermittent manner, which gets traced back to child-birth, lactational phase
    • Patient needs to be very particular and detailed about telling the circumstances that might have led to the problems, for the homeopathic doctor to understand.
    • Now, once the doctor gets a clear picture about the cause, he or she gives the appropriate homeopathic medicine and its dosage as per requirement.
  2. Internal Factors: Internal factors are referred to as constitutional factor in homeopathy. a homeopath understand your internal issues and prescribe medicines accordingly.
    • Every individual is born with certain qualities. Those qualities need to be identified and treated as per the physical and mental characteristic symptoms of the patient.
    • It is important to ask certain questions starting from the childhood to be able to identify any unknown cause that might have been the cause behind these problems.

Homeopathy remedies and medicines thus rectify the underlying causes of hair problems. The main objective of the treatment is to eliminate the root of the problem. So, the next time you face hair problems, instead of going for hair styling treatments, opt for homeopathic intervention. In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

Depression And Diet

Ph.d Psychological sciences

Depression And Diet

Studies show that your brain is particularly at risk. Although there's no way to stop free radicals completely, you can lessen their destructive effect by eating foods rich in antioxidants, including:

  • Beta-carotene: apricots, broccoli, cantaloupe, carrots, collards, peaches, pumpkin, spinach, sweet potato
  • Vitamin C: blueberries, broccoli, grapefruit, kiwi, oranges, peppers, potatoes, strawberries, tomato
  • Vitamin E: margarine, nuts and seeds, vegetable oils, wheat germ

Good sources of omega-3s, including alpha-linolenic acid, are:

  • Fatty fish (anchovy, mackerel, salmon, sardines, shad, and tuna)
  • Flaxseed
  • Canola and soybean oils
  • Nuts, especially walnuts
  • Dark green, leafy vegetables

Evidence isn't clear that taking supplements can help. And it's possible to get too much selenium. So it's probably best to focus on foods:

  • Beans and legumes
  • Lean meat (lean pork and beef, skinless chicken and turkey)
  • Low-fat dairy products
  • Nuts and seeds (particularly brazil nuts - but no more than one or two a day because of their high selenium content)
  • Seafood (oysters, clams, sardines, crab, saltwater fish, and freshwater fish)
  • Whole grains (whole-grain pasta, brown rice, oatmeal, etc.)
  • Foods like turkey, tuna, and chicken have an amino acid called tryptophan, which may help you make serotonin. Try to eat something with protein several times a day, especially when you need to clear your mind and boost your energy.

Good sources of healthy proteins include beans and peas, lean beef, low-fat cheese, fish, milk, poultry, soy products, and yogurt.

Carbohydrates are linked to the mood-boosting brain chemical, serotonin. Experts aren't sure, but carb cravings sometimes may be related to low serotonin activity.

Choose your carbs wisely. Limit sugary foods and opt for smart or “complex” carbs (such as whole grains) rather than simple carbs (such as cakes and cookies). Fruits, vegetables, and legumes also have healthy carbs and fibe.

High Blood Pressure Treatment and Sexual Weakness

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

Most people who are suffering from high blood pressure have no signs while few of them experience headache, nosebleeds or shortness of breath. You can even have hypertension for years without any symptoms of it. It should be controlled as uncontrolled high blood pressure increases the risk of developing serious health problems such as heart attack and stroke, retinopathy, renal problem etc.

In Ayurveda, hypertension is known as "Raktvat'/ or 'Raktagat Vat' (means where 'vata dosh' has entered 'Rakta dhatu'). The vitiation of Vata and Pitta doshas are the main cause of this disease. Hypertension, according to Ayurveda, is an abnormality of Rakta dhatu (blood) which is popularly known as Shonita dushti (vitiated blood).

Herbal preparations (homemade remedies) which are highly effective in hypertension:

  • Arjuna Ksheerapaka – Milk processed with Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna).
  • Lashuna Ksheerapaka – Milk processed with garlic.

Herbs used solo or combo:

Ashwagandha, Sarpagandha
Amalki, Bala, Brahmi, Shankhpushpi, Ash gourd, Jatamansi, Giloy, Gotu kola

Other herbs which have been proved to have antihypertensive property by research works are:

Celery, Bishop’s weed, Ajawain, Carrot, Flaxseed / Linseed, Tomato – Drumstick – Moringa (Shigru),
Tulsi – Bhumi Amla – Pome granate –
Seasame, Wheat bran, – Black plum,
Ginger etc.

READYMADE AYURVEDIC MED made of above and others are commonly Sarpagandha Ghan vati, Giloy satv, Arjunarishta, Ashwagandharisht , Brahmi vati, Hridyarnav Ras etc (Pl do not take yourself but discuss with ayurvedic doctor first)

TIP
Many of above medicines may be taken concurrently with your allopathic medicine. People who are hypertensive for long and on modern anti hypertensive, usually lose sexual power sooner (Both male n female). On the contrary many of the above herbs are Rejuvenating in nature and if u start using ayurvedic antihypertensives either parallel to your current modern regime or switch to pure ayurveda in phased manner, you will notice how Rejuvenation of sex comes back. However it's not overnight action but is conquered gradually - but definately.

Anybody can do away dependency on modern antihypertensives and switch easily to safe herbals.
