Yes it could be anal fissure, the medicine can heal the wound but if the anal muscle is tight then the wound will recur again and again so first of all use indian style toilet, if you are using commode toilet, then use toilet step stool, commode toilet is unnatural for humans, western toilet increases constipation. Since constipation is a bigger factor behind piles & fissure. If you are feeling itching & burning, your anal muscles become unusually tight, this is symptoms of anal fissure, also do...more

Fissures are usually caused by trauma to the inner lining of the anus from a bowel movement or other stretching of the anal canal. This can be due to a hard, dry bowel movement or loose, frequent bowel movements. Patients with a tight anal sphincter muscle are more likely to develop anal fissures.

Hello lybrate-user.
Firstly, my best wishes for you and your child. May you be blessed always.
For anal fissure, the treatment mostly involves using laxative syrup (duphalac), local ointment/ cream (fidonal/ anometrogyl), sitz bath and analgesics sos. You can certainly take proper appointment for detailed treatment plan.

I have facing fissure problem from past 3 years (skin is visible outside of size 1 cm) & it is painful, smells, blood also comes from it. Daily life is not convenient due to this. I met a general gastroenterology she advice to maintain diet for life long. I tried maintaining diet & I felt fissure issue is controlled for some day but again it reoccurred if I miss fiber diet or travel and have outside food for a week. Due to not having permanent cure from diet & medicine I visited a surgeon gastroenterology. He took pictures of anus area & recommended to go for laser surgery for permanent solution. I am not sure what steps to take, should I go for surgery or maintain diet? I need suggestion on this to have permanent solution. I am not sure if laser surgery is safe so not able to take decision. And I do not want fissure to increase and create more trouble in future. I can send those pictures but I do not see any option to attach.

Most abscesses are caused by a bacterial infection. When bacteria enter your body, your immune system sends infection-fighting white blood cells to the affected area. As the white blood cells attack the bacteria, some nearby tissue dies, creating a hole which then fills with pus to form an abscess.
