Dear sir/mam, I am here with a question for my sister. It's been 3 years, she is having issue with her left hand fore finger. She is having pain and dizziness in her finger every time it comes in contact with water. In winter problem is more. We have visited to so many doctors like dermatologist, rheumatologist, orthopedic but still not able to find a solution. Also tried so many medications and tests but still not able to find the root cause of this. Once a doctor operated and cut out a small area below the nails saying that it's a tumor. But it didn't help. Instead, after the operation it feels like the finger is getting thinner than before. Sometimes she gets relief after taking some allergic medicine. So now we don't know, to which specialist we should go and what treatment should take. Please guide and suggest on the treatment. Thanks.

Treated with splinting. A splint holds the fingertip straight (in extension) until it heals.Splint will be worn full time for 6–8 weeks. Then exercises can commence to gradually increase the movement in the tip of the finger. At this time, gradually reduce the time the client is wearing a splint. It usually takes around 3–4 weeks to regain maximal movement and strength of the finger post-immobilisation.
