My dad suffering from lungs infection n some fluids come to his left lung too so doctor advice him an antibiotic moxikind-cv 625 ,amrox ls syrup and a multivitamin tablet. Is it enough for this treatment? simultaneously he z feeling fever, headache and restlessness at night. So doctor gave paragreat 650. please suggest what to do.

Sir, I am 68 year old copd patient, I am was chain smoker, spirometry test result is (fvc =56) & (fev 1= 45), I am now taking medicine such as brofil sr, daw lm, calgrow forte (whole medicine taking at night, loftair inhaler (at morning), nebulization twice a day. I am getting treatment from Dr. R.k. Chopra (from pune, rubby hall), but because of lock down he didn't visit yet in ahmednagar, now I am feeling breathless during up stairs and light work also, so please guide mi whether medicines are right or do some other.

You can take duolin nebulisation three times a day ,with inhalers. But please make sure you don't have tachycardia or else decrease the dose.

Your treatment seems to be adequate, please let me know high nebulisation are you taking. Try and do some yoga and deep breathing exercises. Pulmonary rehabilitation is an important aspect of the treatment.

I think you have wrong information about lung inflammation .ask your treating doctor about the prescribed medication. Ibuprofen and other oral anti-inflammatory medication (except steroids) have no role in asthma.

Hexicof ls has antihistaminics and levosalbutamol and mucolytics. Since you r already on and inhalers montek fx which has antihistaminics already and bronchodilators I will not advice using a substitute. Its better to find plain mucolytics of some other brand.

As I don't know the full history and the nature and origin of pain, its difficult to suggest accurate treatment. Two suggestions, 1. See the dr, who is treating lung cancer or he may refer her to pain clinic, 2. If the cancer has spread to the bone then zolendronic acid once a month, and if its due to local disease, then pregabalin or prothiadine.

Hyperflated both lung, repeated pft normal (79.1 & 81.9 ).blood report normal. Symptom was heavy cough for 3/4 .nothing else. Smoked for 15 years, family history asthma. Doctor says copd. Prescribed foracort 200 rotacap two capsule morning night. With medicine no cough, morning symptoms, nothing. Doctor said next visit he will reduce the dose. 4 month lockdown and covid, hospital outdoor is close ,cannot meet doctor. currently experiencing dry mouth, throat ,carving for something. May be side effect, I does not know. Please advice how much does should I reduce?

You can reduce it to one capsule each time for this month and it can be tapered accordingly next month. Have you recently stopped smoking? Make sure you rinse your mouth after using the inhaler.

Hello doctor. My father is 77 years old and has been diagnosed with ild recently. All needed blood test /scan/xray were done and all his vitals are normal n stable. However he is no oral medication and has only on and off cough and breathlessness during the early mornings and Dr. Has prescribed him to have nebulization of duolin+budecort once a day at night or as needed. Our concern is nebulization be the only way out to treat his ild going forward or is there any other way out to handle this. It depends on the type of ILD.

Nebulisation is not the main kine of treatment.
It is only supportive.

Depending on the type of ILD He needs to be started on tablets depending on IPF/NSIP Pattern and cause for ILD.
Oral tablets are the mainstay of treatment.
