Asked for Female, 34 years old from Bangalore

Hi all, I am 33 yr old female. I am trying to conceive. 1. I use to get breast pain before my period and swelling. It use to be there even after finishing my period. When I contacted a gynae, she suggested me to go for'mammography' here is the result of the same: a. Well defined hypo echoic lesion with lobulated margin measuring 2.31.3cms is noted at 3-4'o clock position of right breast, 2cms away from the nipple, at the depth of 8mm. B. Right breast shows heterogeneously heperechoic parenchymal echo texture with multiple simple cysts within, largest measuring 2 2mm at 1-2'o clock position. C. Cluster of simple cyst is noted 7-8'o clock position of right breast measuring 15 * 6mm. D. Left breast shows a small simple cyst measuring 3 * 2mm at 6-7'o clock position. E. No evidence of ductal dilatation. F. Benign appearing left axillary lymph node is noted measuring 8 * 4mm. This is done on 20/02/2015. Suggested to'followup scan after 6 months for 2 months after mammography, I was on ayurvedic medication. Pain is less for some months. Since last 2 months, again I started getting pain. So now doctor is suggesting me to go for'biopsy' I am scared of surgery. - do I need to take second opinion from other doctor before going for biopsy? - is there any way else apart from biopsy? ============================ at the same time I had follicle cyst in my left ovary. My gynae suggested me to of for'pelvic transonography' here is the results as on 20-02-2015. A. Ovaries are normal in size, shape and echo texture. B. Left ovary shows a follicle cyst measuring 3.2 * 3.0cms c. Ovaries measuring as follows: right ovary: 2.5 * 1.5cms left ovary: 3.6 * 3.2cms d. Pod and adnexa are free. E. No evidence of ascites. F. No evidence of polycystic ovaries in the rest study. Since then I was on medication. My questions are: 1. Do you want me to go for scan again to check? 2. My gynae suggesting me to go for" follicular study" will it help me to check the status of the cyst? kindly suggest. Thanks in advance,

Biopsy only answer, stop being afraid, go ahead and make it clear. It seems its normal may turn out only fibroadenosis which is normal at this age.

Need not worry about simple cysts, only worrisome thing would be solid mass lesions esp irregular growth, microcalcification may also indicate premalignant lesion, also must do breast self examination for any obvious changes

I am having pcod, period occur 3 months once lasts 25-30 days. Last time when I contacted doctor I asked to use gynaset cr 15 mg for 5 days and gynaset cr 10 mg for 10 days. Now I have my periods, but really very heavy period (daily 6-7 pads) so do I need to take tablet again after 5 days to stop period. And also I am planning for pregnancy how to proceed?

After undergoing a medical termination of pregnancy (mtp) on december 1st when I was at five weeks of pregnancy, I bled for ten days. Following an ultrasound on december 11th, my doctor confirmed the successful abortion. Bleeding ceased completely around december 19th. However, on december 27th, I began bleeding again for two weeks, averaging 1-3 xl pads per day. The bleeding worsened by january 14th, prompting me to consult my gynecologist who prescribed trapic mf thrice a day for three days. Although the bleeding reduced to one pad per day, it persisted. On january 25th, another ultrasound revealed successful abortion but diagnosed me with pcos in my right ovary. The doctor then prescribed ovuloc tab for 21 days, yet the bleeding continued intermittently—some days one pad, other days two, and sometimes just spotting. On february 8th, heavy bleeding akin to periods resumed, leaving me feeling frustrated and unsure of what to do. I'm seeking clarification on whether this post-mtp bleeding is normal.

Post mtp bleeding is not normal. It could be a side effect of the medicines used for abortion or could be a hormonal imbalance which has surfaced now. Let the cycles resume normally and be careful that a situation for abortion does not arise.

Hello, my mother is 54 years old and suffering from breast carcinoma. The doctor has removed the whole breast after operation and suggested there are no requirements for the chemotherapy only tablets are prescribed for taking the cure of disease and the medicine is 1.exemestane 25 2.phycolan. My concern is that exemestane 25 is coming to many companies i.e. Pfizer, natco pharma and others but pfizer company medicine cost is much higher than natco. Kindly confirm that we can take medicine of natco pharma or can go to pfizer because medicine is the same but prices are too much of a difference. Any difference between the effectiveness of both companies. Kindly suggest.

Hi, presently i'm not pregnant but planing for pregnancy. Today in my usg report it's said minimally complex cyst measuring 21*18 mm with ecogenic foci in it's wall noted mid poll of left kidney. Can I get pregnant now? Is it possible to remove cyst in baby delivery time?

Cyst in kidney doesn't restrict pregnancy.
Surgical intervention for removal of cyst during delivery is not advisable.
