Hi lybrate-user! definitely a person suffering from depression will definitely prefer or fall asleep. This is quite common in individuals who are depressed, but this does not prolong .thus is just the recovery stage .so take medications as per doctor's advice. But check if any medicine that causes sleep as to be taken at night or day you can check with your doctor and undergo yoga and meditation along with counseling which would help you recover soon. Take care.
