Hello sir. I am hoping the pain and watering must have subsided by now since it has been 2 days. Kindly consult an ophthalmologist if you still have persistent blurring and watering. Blunt trauma sometimes causes damage to retina too. So kindly get an eye doctor opinion even if symptomatically you must be feeling better, so that treatment can be started right away in order to avoid long term effects to your eye. Hope this helps. Hello sir. Swelling in the lids can be benign like chalazion, stye, cyst or in rare cases, can be cancerous too. An eye doctor will like to further examine you in details for the diagnosing your swelling. Benign swellings can be treated by medications, but may require minor surgery to remove it if no relief is achieved with medicines alone. Hello.
Based on your description, it looks like the lump is an infected swelling (can be cyst). Your symptoms also are suggestive of acute inflammation. Hot water fomentation helps a lot in such situation. So please do that. Also some oral medicines need to be started right away for controlling the infection and subjective relief, otherwise it may go into a stage of cellulitis. In case you have associated fever or the pain ins only on one side of the face, please rush to a hospital immediately. Mucormycosis (black fungus) is treatable with appropriate iv medications and blood glucose control.
