If a kidney stone is too big to be passed naturally – 6-7mm (about 0.23 to 0.27in) in diameter or larger – you may need treatment to remove it another way. This could include: extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) ureteroscopy.

You have kidney stone which can be removed by laser treatment. Most kidney stones can be treated without surgery. New surgical techniques have reduced hospital stay time to as little as 48 hours. Treatments include: extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy (eswl) – ultrasound waves are used to break the kidney stone into smaller pieces, which can pass out with the urine..

Eswl is generally not advised for stones less than 10 mm, it is usually cleared using home remedies and dietary lifestyle. Please drink plenty of water (approx. 3l per day) and eat citrus foods which contains vitamin-c, you can also purchase vit-c tablets or syrup from the medical store if needed.
Ayurvedic medicine like tablet cystone thrice a day for 1 month works very well in clearing the kidney stones.
The cost of eswl varies from clinic to clinic, starting from 15,000 and can go upt...more

Yes your health insurance should work, stone in ureter should be removed either by urs or by eswl, for all stones you need to be investigated like urine rm, urine cs, serum creatinine ,serum calcium, serum uric acid and x ray ivp to be done, to know why stones are forming and what diet you should take. Stones of 6 mm or less may pass spontaneously, you should take plenty of fluids orally, consult urologist. Ureteric stone should be removed early.

There is no permanent cure. Some precautions taken can prevent major problem due to stones, early treatment. Having plenty of water on regular basis will prevent stone getting larger in sixe as they are flushed out early. Still stones may form in those parts of kidney where natural drainage is poor. For this there are some excercises which involve head down erect posture allowing drainage of such parts. Eswl is safe but like every procedure it also has some risks but less then other major proced...more
