The ointment you are using has steroid and may cause harm on long term use. So stop it. Stop rubbing your eyes, more you rub more itiching may occur. Besides it may lead to inturning or out turning of eyelids and lead to more complications. Try applying coconut oil or castor oil over eye lids and slowly massage. You can wash it off after sometime. Hello lybrate-user, this may be the cause ,but as he feels pain this is due to his old problem, go and do eye checkup and examination, for reaccurance of older issue .till then use opthacare eye drop 3 times a day.
