Thyromegaly tends to occur due to either iodine deficiency or due to other causes like thyrotoxicosis and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. if you feel its thyroid enlargement you can do ultrasonography of neck to rule out thyroid swelling. small thyroid nodules are difficult to palpate with fingers and for that USG is best option.
