Asked for female, 28 years old from Coimbatore

Hello doctor, I got a scar ectopic pregnancy. My first delivery is cesarian. So this is my second pregnancy with 5 weeks. The sac stays in my cesarian scar. So I underwent with procedure of methotrexate injection two doses with minor acting anesthesia. The beta hcg level came to zero. But still the sac is on the scar. How much it takes to dissolve the sac. I did procedure on september 3rd and second dose of methotrexate on september 13. Beta hcg randomly and slowly decreased to zero now. But after procedure to until now the sac remains the same on the scar but no growth on sac. Will the sac dissolves automatically or it can come out along with monthly periods. Please tell.

There is nothing to worry about. You have been treated perfectly for ectopic scar pregnancy.With 2 doses of methotrexate your abnormal site pregnancy has been totally destroyed.The sac will be absorbed fully soon and it is harmless.During periods, nothing will happen for the sac.Relax.

It should dissolve automatically now that beta HCG is zero. It may take upto two months in some cases.

Is a heterogeneous myometrium texture and an enlarged uterus measuring 10 cm x 5.5 cm x 5.5 cm a cause of concern? I also have enlarged ovaries measuring 4 cm with numerous tiny follicles on both side. I also have a 2 cm intramural fibroid. Im 49 years old. Is it a part of my age or is it something to be worried about currently im experiencing heavy periods.

Hi the purpose of methotrexate is to stop the growth of the pregnancy and thereby prevent rupture and other complications. The pregnancy has stopped growing, so hcg is back to normal. The sac will be slowly absorbed by the body, and will take time. Maybe even 3 months. Have you started getting periods after the injections? If so, how was the flow?

Hello, its difficult to tell you when would it resolve but it can take a long time till hcg levels drop.

On my 10th day my follicle was 21 mm in right ovary and 16. 15 mm in left ovary. Then on 12th day my follicle is 23 mm in right ovary and 16. 11 mm in left ovary, my doctor suggest me hcg 5000 injection for rapture. My question is why my left ovary follicle is decreasing? Can I have a chance of twin pregnancy? And after taking hcg 5000 injection then how many hours egg will take to rupture?

For your information, the patency of ft can be checked by a process known as hysterosalpingography.

My wife is 24 years old. She is having fibroids and tumor which we call rasoli in hindi. We come to now about it after having an ultrasound.
