There is no pregnancy and neither ectopic pregnancy. The best way to go forward is to get an ultrasound done. That will indicate the endometrial thickness and also some blood tests to rule out any hormonal problem. Otherwise you can just wait for one more month and see if the next period flow is normal. Then you can decide what is to be done.

Those with mthfr (homozygous a1298c) have a statistical higher chance for miscarriage, toxaemia or certain foetal defects but can not be definetely linked and some treatment options are available.

1) you can plan for pregnancy
2) if this period variation was only one time pregnancy chances remain like any other woman but if you get variations often- should consult gynecologist.
3) pregnancy can occur only one day of the cycle that is ovulation day so unprotected sex around that day only important. As only one day in month, nature should be given 12-24 trials (12 to 24 months) before a couple need any active management by a gynecologist or infertility specialist.
