Dear lybrate-user, relax, please do not self medicate, and by the way an expired medicine should never be used. You have not given a proper history of your disease like is there associated itching or the severity of pain, whether it is associated with fever, is there ear discharge. What you need is a thorough otoscopy (like stethescope) examination so that a diagnosis is made. You may consult your nearby specialist or feel free to book an appointment and share other details with me.

Most of the time, any fluid leaking out of an ear is ear wax. A ruptured eardrum can cause a white, slightly bloody, or yellow discharge from the ear. Dry crusted material on a child's pillow is often a sign of a ruptured eardrum. The eardrum may also bleed.

Dear lybrate-user, please relax. Your rubbing vigorously has infected your ear, so that the use of antibiotic drops will further add to your troubles rather than provide any cure, so please stop any kind of self medication instantly. You may consult your nearby specialist or feel free to book an appointment as your consultant.

Ear and jaw pain may occur from a tmj disorder. Around 10 to 15 percent of adults may experience a tmj disorder. These disorders cause inflammation and pain in your tmj. Facial pain and ear discomfort are the most common complaints of this condition.

It's very important to keep your ear dry if the eardrum membrane has been ruptured, because any water that gets inside the ear could lead to infection. Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Putting a stream of cold or warm water can affect nerves in the ear which supply other areas as well. It will not cause major problems if it hasn't at that moment. In future, avoid doing it. If insect enters the ear, just put a few drops of mustard oil in the ear - insect will either escape or die.

A cold, allergies, or a sinus infection can block the tubes in your middle ear. When fluid builds up and gets infected, your doctor will call it otitis media. This is the most common cause of ear pain. If your doctor thinks the cause is a bacteria, she may prescribe antibiotics.
