First you should visit an ent doctor to confirm the diagnosis, and to rule out any infections or any other problem in the ear canal or tympanic membrane. As putting ear drops can be harmful in some situations, also if the was is too much impacted wax solvent drops can lead to ear pain also. After you are sure there is no associated pathology and only wax inear you can put 3 drops 4 times a day for 3 days then visit an ent doctor to get it removed under endoscopic guidance.

The most common complication from an insect in the ear is a ruptured tympanic membrane, or ruptured eardrum. If the bug bites or scratches the eardrum, it's possible that this trauma to the ear affects the eardrum. If this happens, you'll feel pain and typically see bloody discharge coming from the eardrum.

Conditions such as stenosis (narrowing of the ear canal), overgrowth of hair in the canal, and hypothyroidism can cause wax buildup. Using cotton swabs/q-tips, wearing hearing aids, and the aging of the skin and loss of elasticity can also lead to excessive cerumen!
