Hi lybrate-user. If it's a small hole in the drum, we could address it by minimally invasive procedure called fast plug myringoplasty.
If the hole is little bigger, then we need to do a procedure called tympanoplasty.

There may be oerforation in the ear drum. Keep the ear cleam. If the ear is discharging instil antibiotic ear drops like ciprofloxicin ear drops. You can live with the perforated ear drum a normal life provided you keep the ear clean and prevent water entering into the affected ear, if not you can go for surgery.
