U should have normal blinking while working on computer .
Give ur self rest from screen strain after every1/2hoyrs for 10/15 minute.
Lubricating eye drops may help in severe cases

Not all eye drops are preservative free (BAK). And there is no harm in using preservative drops for shorter duration. Only in cases of longer duration medication, these preservatives will be toxic to the eye. And yes. You need to apply the medicine inside the eye at lid margin (fornix).
