Dryness is not a disease which you can cure by putting lubricating eye drops for few days, while working on smartphone , computer & watching TV for long time without giving importance to the health of eyes. Number of blinking drastically goes down from around 24 per minute to around 8 per minute while working on computer etc causing severe dryness, blurring of vision, headache & increased blinking to compensate dryness .One who works on smartphone etc will have to change &will have to learn how ...more

according to your history your are suffering from Myopia. But eye pain may be due to not accurate correction. Sometime it need post cycloplegic refraction. Or as your doctor says due to dry eye or due to many other reason. It is my advice you should go for accurate myopic correction and detailed fundus examination including retinal periphery examinations to rule out break and holes.

Reading for long hours is not related with eyestrain if you have normal eyes,you need more energy & for that you will have to take balanced diet along with milk ,vegetables or dry fruits if you can afford.

You apply cleargel twice daily for one month and Sun ban ultra gel before going to sun and again after 4 hours.youcan take Allegra-M 1 tablet daily at bedtime for one month. you apply clorochal-H eye ointment twice daily over eyelids.Avoid Sun exposure as far as possible.

I think you should consult rheumatologist for treatment and ophthalmologist who may prescribe your lubricating eyedrops.

Please Do eye exercises daily Take carrots, green leafy vegetables, papaya regularly Do pranayam and yoga daily. If possible Put Cinereria eye drops by SBL Twice a day regularly Consult me regularly on Lybrate till you feel better completely.
