Hello sir. Looking at your symptoms I can say that either your refraction status (eye power) must have changed a bit or if not so, you need to get checked up in a little bit more detail by an ophthalmologist to rule out any other eye condition like glaucoma which might be causing these symptoms. It is prudent to get an opinion right away since glaucoma being an irreversible condition is manageable if diagnosed at the right time. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hello.
Based on your description, it looks like the lump is an infected swelling (can be cyst). Your symptoms also are suggestive of acute inflammation. Hot water fomentation helps a lot in such situation. So please do that. Also some oral medicines need to be started right away for controlling the infection and subjective relief, otherwise it may go into a stage of cellulitis. One needs to see the lump first for giving appropriate treatment. So kindly provide a photograph for the same. You ...more

Surface pain is usually caused by irritation from a foreign object, infection, or trauma. Often, this type of eye pain is easily treated with eye drops or rest. Eye pain that occurs deeper within the eye may feel aching, gritty, stabbing, or throbbing. This kind of eye pain may require more in-depth treatment.

Hello. Floaters can be physiological (normal) or pathological (abnormal). Physiological floaters are due to tiny condensed vitreous and are not damaging to the eye at all other than giving a floating particle sensation, so can be ignored.
Pathological floaters on the other hand can be dangerous as they maybe due to an impending retinal tear/ detachment. These floaters if not timely managed, can be vision threatening. If identified early, can be treated with laser and/or surgery. No type of m...more

Such floating black dots/lines/cobwebs are floaters in medical terminology, particularly visible against light coloured and bright background. They vary in their numbers, size and location. Whatever floater are visible right now may be totally normal, in which case nothing needs to be done at present or can be an alarming...more

Hello Mr. lybrate-user!
from your description it seems like you have an epithelial defect over your cornea. Due to blunt trauma to the eye especially forceful one (like an air hose pressure) the outermost superficial layer (epithelium) of the black part of eye (cornea) gets eroded, and since cornea is instrumental in vision, that is why you have blurry vision right now. The epithelium will slowly heal by bodyã¢â€â™s natural mechanism, but might leave a slight scar later on depending upon its...more

Hello. Allergy in the eyes these days has become very common in our routine clinics, especially in summers. Allergy is a general term, but for eyes per se there are different types of allergic disorders like akc, vkc etc. The treatment will differ for every individual and a detailed assessment of each eye is crucial in deciding treatment plan. Generally a cocktail of drops is prescribed as each one addresses a different mechanism. Allergy in general cannot be cured, but can only be controlled. C...more
