Looking at your symptoms I can say that either your refraction status (eye power) must have changed a bit or if not so, you need to get checked up in a little bit more detail by an ophthalmologist to rule out any other eye condition like glaucoma which might be causing these symptoms. Based on your description, it looks like the lump is an infected swelling (can be cyst). Your symptoms also are suggestive of acute inflammation. Hot water fomentation helps a lot in such situation.
