Dear lybrate-user
you are experiencing symptoms which are ot so common. However, please look out for teh following-is your pulse and blood pressure normal? If so, and if symptoms are decreasing, you need not worry. Have plenty of fluids and you should be alright in a few days.
However, if symptoms are increasing or new symptoms appear you must visit a specialist for proper examination
take care.

Naltima 50 tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it regularly at a fixed time each day to get the maximum benefit of the medicine. Continue taking the medicine for as long as the doctor has prescribed it. Do not stop taking the medicine until you have finished the full course.

This medicine may cause increased pressure inside the head (intracranial hypertension). This is more likely to occur in women of childbearing age who are overweight or have a history of intracranial hypertension. Tell your doctor right away if you have a headache, blurred vision, or changes in vision.

Please take the medicines as advised and get timely checkups so the dose can be monitored. As for side effects, discuss with your psychiatrist as to how to reduce them. Sometime one has to look at the benefits vs harm of the medication and decide on the dose accordingly.
Make sure you reduce stress, include exercise and have a good diet. The need for medication will reduce and side effects will also be tolerable
all the best.

Taking both together may cause restlessness and sleepiness, hence not advised. However, if you do not have any such symptoms, do not worry. Would advise you not to have any other cough syrup for 24 hours take plenty of fluids to reduce the effect. For your cold, you may take steam inhalation and warm saline gargles will alos help. Medication only gives symptomatic relief and has no role in cure of a cold.
Take care.
