First of all you should change your eating habits like 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U can eat whatever your mother or grandparent eat in bfast. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 5. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 6. Avoid fast foods n fried foods7.take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 8. Drink lot of water9. Double Chin - How To Get Rid Of It?

As you grow old, you start noticing certain not so pleasant things about your face. Your skin sags; you have wrinkles around your eyes and laughter lines appear even when you are not laughing; and (gasp!) a double chin. Most people associate double chin with obesity, or with genetic predispositions. But in reality, you can be slim and still develop a double chin as you grow older. Skin loses collagen as you grow older, and collagen is the element in your skin which keeps your skin tight and firm when you are young. Loss of collagen leads to skin sagging and the occurrence of a double chin. Thankfully, there are many methods to counter the appearance of a double chin.

Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy involves injecting certain solutions in your body to breaks down unwanted fats. The injections will be directly applied to your chin.

  • Procedure: During a single session, the solution is injected directly into the connective tissues and fat layers. The procedure is painless, though some patients request for anaesthetic creams. The solution injected results in a reaction with the fat cells, which causes them to harden. The hardened fat cells are later excreted by the body.
  • Aftercare: You will see differences within 2-3 weeks. After that regular check-ups may be required to monitor your hormone levels and overall health.
  • Side effects: There are no serious side effects save some pain, swelling and bruising which goes away on its own.

Radio frequency treatment
Radio frequency is a non-invasive method of reducing double chin. Radio frequency is a treatment that uses electromagnetic energy to tighten the skin.

  • Procedure: The skin around your neck and chin will be slathered in a glycerine-based gel. After that, a contraption will be used to tighten the skin. The reasoning behind is that the waves emitted will smoothen down any obstacles that come its way. You may need 6 sessions for optimum results.
  • Aftercare: There is no special aftercare required.
  • Side effects: Redness is an obvious side effect, but it will reduce in a few days.

Surgical Treatment

  • Liposuction: The surgical option is also a nice method of double chin correction, by liposuction.

Lower Face Lift - When Is It Required?

Lower Face Lift - When Is It Required?

With age, the skin loses its elasticity and firmness, causing sagging skin and deep folds. The facelift, as the name suggests, gives a lift to the ageing face so that a youthful appearance is restored.

The lower one-third of the face, given the lesser number of bones, is a lot more prone to ageing changes. There are many people with the corners of the lips drooping, double chin, folds from the nose to the lips losing their definition, skin sagging, etc. These can be corrected by a trained, well-experienced surgeon.

The following are some of the main issues which can be corrected with lower facelift surgery.

  1. Gravity: Though not noticeable at all, the earth’s gravity plays a major role in the ageing part. Especially in the lower half of the face, there is no underlying bone except the mandible. This causes the muscles and tissues to gravitate downwards, producing an aged appearance with a double chin and undefined neck/head interface. The rounded facial appearance becomes elongated gradually with age, which can be restored with a lower facelift.
  2. Drooping mouth: With age, the muscles in the lower face droop and produce an appearance with corners of the mouth drooping. The lips lose their normal curvature and become thin and are usually downward aligned, giving a grumpy appearance.
  3. Double chin: There is gradual laxity that builds in the muscles of the chin and neck, forcing people to wear turtlenecks to avoid the sagging skin and double chin.

These are some of the common indications for a lower facelift. There are different types of lower facelift. The same has been listed below.

  1. S-facelift: A small, S-shaped incision is made beginning in the front of the area, and through this, the underlying structures are tightened and excess skin is trimmed down.
  2. SMAS facelift: This incision begins around the temples, is hidden under the hairline and works to remove fatty tissue and firming up the connective tissue. This is a more elaborate process than the S-facelift.

Both these can be clubbed with neck liposuction where excess fat is removed from the neck area to produce far improved results.

Suitable candidates: People in relatively good health with an adequate elasticity of the skin around the face and neck. Laxity around the jawline, drooping corners around the mouth, excess fat in the neck and chin area are good candidates for lower facelift surgeries.

While a lower facelift can help improve your appearance, it is extremely important to place yourself in the hands of a competent, well-experienced surgeon. These are intricate procedures and can go if not done by an experienced person. Choose someone you are sure of and see yourself lose some years.

Double chin could be hereditary or could be incidental. It does not respond to dieting. Since it is not a disease nothing to worry but if it bothers you then surgery-liposuction or liquidation of fat by injection may be a possibility.

Double Chin - How Derma Treatments Can Avert It?

Double Chin - How Derma Treatments Can Avert It?

Double Chin, also referred to as submental fat is a common feature among people. It is often associated with weight gain, though it can also get developed among those, who are not overweight. With age, humans tend to lose their skin’s natural elasticity. Weight fluctuations, natural pulling and stretching, facial cartilage deterioration as well as wear out of the bones, along with the accumulation of fat, make the skin slack. This fat ultimately pools right under the chin, giving rise to a double chin.

No person’s body fat is distributed in the same way but if you are heavily built, then it’s quite normal that you would have a larger face. In these scenarios, when there is genuine accumulation of submental fat deposit and not the case of having extra skin, maintenance of diet and exercise are considered to be the non-invasive ways to reduce double chin.

We take a look at some of the derma treatments for getting rid of a double chin.

Derma Treatment Options For Treating Double Chin
There are various treatment options in dermatology, which would help people in getting rid of double chin. People with double chin get affected from poor self-confidence, primarily because of the appearance it gives to their profile. They feel hesitated in giving their photographs for any official purpose, as there is a sense of shame in them due to their appearance.

All these hesitations out of double skin can be withered away by going through the following methods of treatment in dermatology. They include:

  1. Kybella: Kybella, the generic brand name of deoxycholic acid which is a man-made form of a substance, the human body makes to absorb fats. Kybella is a non-surgical way aimed at reducing moderate to severe fat deposits by way of injections on the upper half of the neck, which is the area for ‘double chin’. It is the artificially synthesized form of deoxycholic acid, which helps to destroy the fat cells in and around the area of the neck, where it is injected. The molecules, which are naturally occurring in nature, eats away at the fat deposits and hence lead to the reduction of hanging double chin to a great extent. The number of injections and total time for treatment would vary depending on the extent of the problem in patients. Usually, 4-6 treatments are required to achieve the desired outcome.
  2. Cool Sculpting CoolMini: CoolSculpting is a non-surgical body treatment which helps to mould the areas of body and thus get back its original shape. The usage of a new applicator, known as the CoolMini, allows patients to get rid of their double chins right away. It eliminates unwarranted fat through the use of cryptotherapy. This procedure involves the usage of non-invasive applicator, which in turn delivers controlled cooling to the surface of the skin, thus freezing fat cells to the point, where they get destructed. It is a treatment which lasts for 15 minutes and usually gives a kind of pinching and suctioning sensation, which are a little uncomfortable in nature.

Double Chin - How To Get Rid Of It?

One of the effects of ageing is the double chin that is caused due to extra fluid or fat under the chin. It could also be due to increased weight, sagging skin, or merely genetic. Given that it produces an aged appearance, people with double chin are constantly trying to find ways to hide it. There are two main muscles in the neck area, and toning them helps to remove the double chin appearance. There are grooming tips like specific kinds of clothes, hairstyle, and makeup to conceal it. There are also some exercises which are believed to reduce the prominence of the double chin. However, these are temporary measures, and for a permanent solution, surgical correction is the only method of choice.

Some of the new methods to get rid of the double chin are listed below with some important additional details. Talk to your surgeon and understand what to expect before going ahead with the surgical correction.

  1. Kybella: Approved by FDA, this is the new wonder drug to correct double chin. With no surgery involved, all it takes is about half an hour. The area is injected with a local anaesthetic and then Kybella. This contains deoxycholic acid, which is an enzyme that the body also produces naturally. This helps break down fat cells and so after a couple of weeks, the double chin gradually begins to literally melt away. Depending on the desired results, repeat injections might be required at monthly intervals. There could be mild swelling in the initial couple of days, which will subside shortly. The result would be a more defined chin line, producing a slimmer appearance.
  2. CoolMini: This involves freezing the fat and massaging it to remove the double chin. This is a form of chin sculpting and is preferred in people with good skin tightness. Results will be evident in about 1 to 3 months.
  3. Skin tightening using infrared light: A beam of infrared light is aimed at the double chin which causes tightening of the skin by stimulating the underlying collagen and elastin layers.
  4. Chin liposuction: In people with excess fat deposition, chin liposuction where the excess fat is suctioned off is a good treatment option. This is a time-tested method and produces results more immediately than the above-mentioned procedures.

Subsequent to any of the above procedures, it is better to make some lifestyle changes so that the double chin does not return. Weight management and regular exercise can go a long way in preventing recurrence of the double chin. Speak to your doctor to draw up a weight management plan and an exercise regimen that can help in the same.

Hello, It is not a fixed number. The simple calculation is you have to burn 300-500 calories more than you take daily. Means if you take 1000 calories then burn 1500 calorie.
