I have a history of fistula. 3 months ago under Dr. Subhayu Banerjee (General Surgeon, N.R. Tagore Cardiac Science, Kolkata) a MRI fistulogram done a abscess activity found but during OT doctor unable to find any internal and external opening so he left it without any surgical procedure and ask to come after 3 months. What should I do now. And why he was unable to do surgery?

Dear Lybarte User, Please flush the wound 3-4 times a day with normal saline. High fibre and high fluids with fruits is good to avoid constipation and thereby pain relief.
The wound normally takes 4-6 weeks to heal that is what nature takes so have patience and keep the wound free from stools and sticky dirt that keeps coming.

Dear lybrate-user, if affordability is the problem, then hydrotubation can be tried. Or generally the mainstay of treatment is laparoscopy with Hysteroscopy.

Hi Team, My anal fistula is completely recovered without any pus or blood. However, I still feel pain inside sometimes. It's almost 2 months over after my surgery. So only pain I have, no pus and blood. So it will take more time to get over with pain. Does fistula occur again after my surgery without any pus and blood. I am still taking antibiotics like Linid (linezolid) and Farobact 200 recommend by surgeon. Kindly suggest with pus and blood I recovered bit I am feeling pain. So is it serious? Thanks
