I had undergone gamma knife radiosurgery on 2017 for choroidal plexus avm in the right temporal horn in lateral ventricle. Doctors asked to follow up at 6 months interval. In all previous scans, doctors said that there are good recovery and gliosis. How long will it take for avm to shrink completely? In the recent MRI has taken yesterday, it was said that findings: there is focal t2w high signal area is seen at the right superior temporal/transverse temporal gyrus region. This area shows low signal on gre images - located close to the ependymal margin of temporal horn. Following contrast, multiple tortuous vessels were seen in this region along the gyri, reaching the Sylvian fissure. One of the arterial feeders appears to be the branch from the choroidal artery from the temporal horn of right lateral ventricle. 15 x 5 mm mm are of tortuous vessels (post-contrast thin section t1fs) the venous drainage reaches the vein of life/superficial middle cerebral vein and joins the right transverse sinus. There is also another parietal cortical vein reaching the sss minimal gliotic signal around the right trigonal white matter, seen close to Sylvian fissure. brain stem appears normal. The cerebellar hemispheres appear normal. the third and left lateral ventricles appear normal. sella and parasellar region are normal. Visualized orbits and sinuses appear normal. craniovertebral junction and cervicomedullary junction appear within normal limits. Impressions: features suggestive of right temporal focal av malformation with feeding vessel and draining vein as described above. the dural component is more prominent with short tortuous prominent vessels minimal gliosis present. Please explain to me about the report. How long will it take for a complete cure? Waiting for your answer.

Your father had already undergone a surgery for tongue cancer. But even after surgery lymph nodes have come positive in the recent pet scan. So the tumour has metastasis in the lymph nodes which are showing up now. There is no definitive thing as to which will work surgery or chemo. Chemo if used now will be just for palliation that is it may extend your father's life but it will not cure the disease. If you'll talk about surgery. It will cure the disease but who knows how many more nodes or org...more

If the lymph node is really a lymph node or any other thing. As well as they want to find out the size and depth of lesion to be certain (if necessary) about its position during surgical resection. You should take the test as it is not painful and there is no harm and lots of advantage.

Hi
swollen lymph nodes in the neck are a common occurrence during colds or infections, as they are part of the body's immune response to fight off infections. If the swollen lymph nodes are painless, small, and remain the same size, they are likely not a serious issue. However, if they grow larger, become painful, or are accompanied by other symptoms such as fever, weight loss, or night sweats, it is important to go for routine blood tests as well as usg

Hello Jaspreet...
There are more than one reasons for lymph nodes swelling...
We first need to find out the reason and then according to the cause can suggest medicine.
If it is because of tuberculosis then there is no use of treatment for cancer and vice versa.

The enlarged lymph node is due to hormonal changes occurring during menstruation, don't worry it's highly unlikely to become cancer. You can get an ultrasound when it is enlarged to rule out any illness.
