Hello doctor, I am studying abroad, and I have made this to ask about my mom's health condition. She is 59 years old with a bodyweight of 48 kg. (she is underweight from her young age). I left 2 years back to abroad. And 1 year back my grandma also passed away. For the past 1 year my mom and dad alone there (india). 3 months before we first noticed some differences while my mom talking. Her speech was a little slurred. She was having difficulty in talking. So they went to a doctor and he said it is because of the family situation, she got a little stressed. That's it. But her condition got worse after some days like less clarity while talking and had to break sentences in between. So again they went to a neuro specialist and he recommended doing an mri scan. The report shows this 1) fazeka’s grade I chronic small vessel ischemic changes in bilateral deep hemispheric white matter. 2) mild age-related convolutional changes. 3) mild posterior annular bulges of c3-c4 to c6-c7 discs and causing indentation on anterior subarachnoid space. Mild biforaminal narrowing noted at c5-c6 and c6-c7 levels. The doctor further did emg (electromyography) and said she has a problem with the jaw nerve and one nerve in the stomach. He also clarifies that there is no medicine and prescribed one vitamin tablet only. She is now having that only. But she still having slurred speech. When I searched about mnd it is showing that the average life expectancy after diagnosis is only 2 years for the majority of people. Is it true? What will be the result of a stomach nerve problem? She will lose her ability to move eventually and will be in a wheelchair? She is doing some easy exercises now. And I started to talk with her every day because I think she is worrying too much about me and that is spoiling her health. She got brain shrinkage and other problems because of stress? Doctor, how long she will be able to lead a normal life and how should we take care of her according to her current health condition? Please help thanks.

And with out your physical therapist knowledge. Ie. Knowing.(he should not be suggest / guides). Then it may be harmful to your health. Please kept in your mind.

Below are exercises that strengthen the lower back and help manage lower back pain:

1. Bridges—lie on the ground and bend the knees, placing the feet flat on the floor hip-width apart.
Press the feet into the floor, keeping the arms by the sides.
Raise the buttocks off the ground until the body forms a straight line from the shoulders to the knees.
Squeeze the buttocks with the shoulders remaining on the floor.
Lower the buttocks to the ground and rest for a few seconds....more
