Dettol is a good disinfectant for external use like clothes and bath and also surfaces. For moblie phones, best to keep it in transparent and water proof pouches when you are out of your house and other way is to wipe it with sanitizer soaked cotton or cloth.

Dear Lybrateuser, - Most likely very little amount would have been ingested which should not cause any serious problem
- have 1-2 litres if water over the day to wash off the chemical from your system
- report to a local doctor if you have nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or stomach ache or any other problem for treatment.
