-Symptoms of malaria include high fever with chills, profuse sweating, headache, weakness, stomachache, nausea, vomiting & in severe cases loss of consciousness & organ failure
- investigations to know the type of malaria, bed rest , plenty of oral fluids, medication for fever & antimalarials as prescribed by the doctor are the mainstay of treatment.

- avoiding breeding & bite of mosquito, avoid stagnation of water in & around house especially in drains, tanks, containers & flower pots
- do mosquito proofing by installing metal mesh on windows, apply mosquito repellent cream/ gel on exposed parts of the body, use mosquito nets while sleeping, use mosquito repellent coils & mats in rooms, wear full sleeve shirts & trousers to prevent bite, do fumigation in & around ...more

-to prevent malaria we have to avoid the mosquito bite by taking some precautions :
- avoid stagnation of water in & around the house especially in old containers, flower pots, tyres, surrounding drains
