My 9 years old son has been tested positive for dengue. He started having fever since thursday. On saturday his platelet count was 1.20l and yesterday 1.97l. Today it is 1.59l. Will platelet count fluctuate like this?

No need of any specific drugs, need to check your wbc count again after 3 to 5 days, only if it falls then it needs evaluation.

My sister is 28. Since yesterday, she is suffering from high fever, headache, itching (suffering since a month) with red rashes. Today we got the testing done. Dengue ns1 antigen is positive, dengue antibody (igm/igg) rapid card test is negative, platelet count is 2.77 lakhs/cumm. Doctor said to get platelet count tested on monday and suggested that we get her admitted to hospital on monday if platelets level fall. Dolo round the clock and atoz medicine once a day has been prescribed.

Hi I am a 33 year old male. I am having fever on n off from past 4 days. I have taken one injection and medication for 2 initial days. This morning onwards I had fever ranging from 101 to 102 in a span of 2-3 hours .with no fever at all on between. I have tested for dengue, report is negative. I have a headache and my hands and legs are paining. Had a sharp pain in my chest yesterday, which settled after medication after 2-3 hours. Could you please suggest on how should I treatyaelf further ,as the fever and weakness is not subsiding. Waiting for your reply. Thanks a lot.

Kindly visit your nearest doctor. Blood test done on day 1 of fever can be normal. If fever is high grade & feeling weak it's always better to get admitted in hospital & get fever under control.

Low platelet does not mean dengue. Give plenty of breas feed. Rest. Give ors, get test done for dengue maintain good general cleanliness. Keep baby away from sick people, for medicine contacty on private chat.
